STEPS

Welcome to the STEPS Initiative – Igniting the Future of STEM Education!

We stand at the dawn of an educational revolution, where the promise of a bright future is delivered through an inspiring STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education. The STEM Teacher/student Education for Primary Schools (STEPS) Program is not just about redefining primary education – it's about transforming lives.

We are STEPS, and we believe in the power of education to positively change the world. This work was supported by the Global Partnership for Education Knowledge and Innovation Exchange, a joint endeavor with the International Development Research Centre, Canada. Together, we're taking a giant leap for education, one step at a time.

Piloted in Benin, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, STEPS strives to make high-quality STEM curriculum accessible to primary school students and teachers across the globe. Our dream goes beyond classrooms. We aim to empower entire communities, fostering an equitable education system that propels growth and job opportunities in a world reshaped by the COVID-19 pandemic.

STEPS is where technology meets education. We’ve crafted a cutting-edge STEM curriculum that's free and accessible. Think of STEPS as a global classroom where boundaries dissolve. Poverty, distance, language, or gender no longer inhibit a child's right to quality education. Our comprehensive curriculum targets grades 1 to 5, ensuring age-appropriate, technology-friendly, and globally recognized education.

And the teachers? They're the heart of this change. Through our innovative "train-the-trainers" model, we ensure that teachers are skilled and equipped to ignite young minds, creating a ripple effect of educational success.

Our vision doesn't stop here. STEPS is about nurturing not just students, but the whole individuals who will be tomorrow’s pioneers.
