Starting in Benin, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, the STEPS vision extends globally to ensure every child has access to STEM education, regardless of background. STEPS focuses on empowering teachers through a “train-the-trainers” approach, offering innovative and freely accessible curriculum designed to engage young learners. Supported by the Global Partnership for Education Knowledge and Innovation Exchange and the International Development Research Centre in Canada, STEPS is more than an organization; it’s a transformative force in primary STEM education.

Data Entry Specialist

As a Volunteer Data Entry Specialist with the STEPS Initiative, you will play a crucial role in our mission to provide world-class STEM education to primary schools in frontier countries. Your responsibilities will include accurately inputting data, cleaning up existing datasets, and conducting quality assurance checks to ensure data integrity. Additionally, you'll collaborate with our team to prioritize tasks and share insights, contributing to the continuous improvement of our programs. This flexible role requires a minimum commitment of 4 hours per week and offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience and make a meaningful impact on global education.

SME/ Curriculum Specialist

As a Volunteer Curriculum Specialist with the STEPS Initiative, you will lead the development, review, and analysis of STEM curricula for primary schools across various regions. Your role will involve ensuring the curriculum is engaging, effective, and culturally relevant. By conducting thorough reviews, analyzing effectiveness, and collaborating on innovative curriculum design, you will help shape the educational experiences of countless students. Additionally, you will provide professional development support to educators and maintain comprehensive documentation of the curriculum development process. This flexible role requires a Master's degree in Education and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on global STEM education while gaining valuable experience.
